If you are searching for a tool to do something very specific in Java - usually there is a plugin for it. Jetbrains packs a lot of features into one IDE. Unit testing software, database plugins, memory monitors are all a part of this tool. IntelliJ also does a very good job with memory management on MacOS and doesn't need any fancy configuration to get up and running.
